I part the wet, cold dripping curtain by ulnar,
My sleeping self, witnessed wrist deep in the mirror.
The hissing white of torrential separation,
May nauseate, wash over before it subsides.

My palms pressed firm into ocular indentation,
Until the swirl of color swells.
As I emerge, my vision is all glowing fractals
And I see now as I did when I was plasma

I am alone and respiration can resume

Thriving on abhorrence of all organic life forms once more,
Distanced from civilization for far too long,
I am withdrawn.

Phased fully through, the pouring portal returns to
Its glassy form, reflective and opaque.
Knowing what I know now,
What was once understood,
I commit to fucking separate.
Streams of indigo light the path.
